Korean dumpling papers Recipe

Jean: Is it possible to make the dumpling papers?

Luna: Yes, you can however I tend to buy them to save time, they are relatively straight forward to make.

Basic Dumpling Papers

2 Cups of White Flour
2/3 Cup of Water
Pinch of Salt

Mix the above ingredients in a small bowl, until soft. Place the dough in a bag for about 30 minutes in a warm dry place.

Divide the Dough in to 3-4 pieces and roll out as thin as possible, use a cake cutter to cut out the dumplings and then use to make Mandoo.

You can also make some flavoured Dumpling papers if you feel adventurous:

Spinach Dumpling Papers

2 Cups of White Flour
2/3 Cup of Water
Pinch of Salt
Handful of spinach leaves

Put a handful of spinach leaves with the water in a blender and blend until mixed well, now put the contents of a blender through a sieve to remove any bits.

Add to this flour and salt and then make as per the basic dumpling paper recipe.

Carrot Dumpling Papers

2 Cups of White Flour
2/3 Cup of Water
Pinch of Salt
Half a carrot

Finely grate half a carrot and mix this with water in a bowl, Sieve the contents to remove any large pieces and add the flour and salt, finish as per the basic dumpling recipe.
