refridgerate pastes?

by lily

Hi, im sharing the fridge with flatmates and dont have enough space for several tubs of gochujang, doenjang, ssamjang i stocked up on, except for the ones im using the rest are unopened, do they have to be refridgerated even before opening? and even after opening do they need to be in the fridge? looking online most people say it keeps for like a year in the fridge which is good but some people said just keep it outside, i couldnt find much info to back it up though, would really help if you answered :)

Luna: Hi Lily

You can keep the tubs of paste outside of the fridge, Its best to keep them somewhere cool and dark.

Once opened it is best to put them in to the fridge.
